Especially in summer, many of my clients ask me to shave their dogs completely. Many people mistakenly believe that dogs with long or thick coats suffer in the heat; this is incorrect, and I this is why I do not recommend shaving. My experience and knowledge confirm that after shaving, the coat changes and becomes more fluffy, loses its ability to repel water, and dulls in color and shine over time. Sometimes the coat never grows back properly. As soon as the undercoat is professionally removed and without shaving, your dog’s thick hair serves as insulation against heat and cold, and offers protection from the sun as well. If you wish, I can instead shorten and shape the stomach, chest/ruff, legs and paws with hand scissors to give your dog a sleeker and even younger look.
I use exclusively high quality products 100% based on plants and developed without animal testing.
I also do not use a hairdryer box.
